Also Megumin hardly has done things to make it worthy of her being called best girl.
But they barely have interactions with megumin Episode 2 they introduce more forgetable characters.
By introducing a bloated cast from the start, and none of them having much personal screentime, they pretty much almost serve as forgetttable characters. All we have seen are Megumin at school with a lot of clones them doing random tasks. Fate/Zero, Railgun, Gun Gale Online, Date A Bullet are solid spinoffs that can tell a good story and explore an underdeveloped side of things. Spinoffs are normally not better than the source but still can be solid. They adapted filler chapters yet somehow had to pad for time while making random cuts. For a prequel, it barely feels like it has any relevance to the main story nor exploring an interesting what if situation. 3 episodes in and we have almost no plot progression which is concerning a ln series since they usually adapt things faster than Manga.
